Brochures: Important Advertising Tools For Your Business

by Jacob Mielson

In corporate design brochures and booklets are a standard tool for promotion and advertising. They are tiny books or magazines which lay around in conference halls, offices and waiting rooms. Sometimes they contain an annual report of the company or showcase the portfolio of an artist. Brochures can also be included in CDs and DVDs; however, usually they are given away as freebies e.g. they may contain a calendar or some poster inside.

Either way, booklets are an important advertising tool. Because they are usually short, between 25-30 pages, it is important that they present an attractive look. It is also essential that the booklet conveys the appropriate information in order or focus the reader's attention and effectively convey the message. Regrettably, few brochures actually fulfill this purpose. Fortunately there are many options to create an effective and appealing booklet or brochure design.

A well designed brochure must take into account the combination of colors used in any graphics. One example is a graphic used to illustrate an everyday American picnic in an architectural pamphlet. The choice of colors harkens to building materials of brick and tar, and the checkered blanket and line of ants grab the viewer's eye.

What good can cheap business cards do when it comes to growing your business? Maybe more than you think if used the right way. One of the most cost effective ways you can promote your business is through the use of a powerful business card. Most people simply underutilize their business card. The typical business card states a name, company name, address phone, fax and perhaps e-mail.

A marketing business card should include all of the above information. In addition, it should contain a strong statement indicating why someone should do business with you. An initial offer designed to make you interesting and appealing might also be helpful. It could lead to a quicker deal.

When deciding to design your own unique business card, it is essential to find out which type of card will suit the business type and style. Granted, online design and custom-made design are the two options; take note that the templates are available for both non-commercial and commercial use across the Internet.

In corporate design brochures and booklets are a standard tool for promotion and advertising. They are tiny books or magazines which lay around in conference halls, offices and waiting rooms. Another alternative is cheap business cards. Start with one of the business cards templates which are available for both personal and commercial use on the Internet. A marketing card mentions all of the above but mentions at least one extremely strong reason as well to carry out business with you and maybe even an offer that assists the individual who receives the card in becoming involved at once.
